Job summary

Orlick Industries Ltd is seeking an experienced Industrial Mechanic/Millwright to install, service and repair industrial machinery. You will read blueprints, troubleshoot malfunctions, and perform preventive maintenance while guiding apprentices.

The role requires 3–5 years of relevant experience, working on site in Hamilton, Ontario, with a strong focus on safety and quality workmanship.

Qualifications

• 3–5 years of experience as an industrial mechanic or millwright.
• Experience with machinery installation, maintenance, start-up and testing.
• Ability to read blueprints and schematics; troubleshoot malfunctions.

Responsibilities

• Assemble and install mechanical equipment and stationary machinery.
• Coach and instruct apprentices; supervise other workers.
• Read blueprints and specifications to determine work requirements.
• Repair or replace defective parts; set up, test and adjust machinery.
• Perform preventive maintenance and routine service on equipment.
• Operate hoisting and lifting equipment; ensure safe work practices.
• Detect irregularities and troubleshoot malfunctions; maintain records.
