Qualifications

• Must hold a valid Ontario License Certificate of Qualification issued by the Ministry of Colleges and Universities or complete an 8000-hour apprenticeship or have eight years of practical experience in the skilled trade.
• Practical experience in a manufacturing environment (press, hydraulic, and stamping) is desired.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose and remedy mechanical, pneumatic or hydraulic problems in production areas.
• Perform preventive maintenance on welders, fixtures and other equipment in the facility.
• Read, interpret and use micrometers, verniers, etc.
• Capable of aligning shafts, couplings, motors and drivers and reading blueprints.
