Job summary

Kibbi is seeking a qualified millwright in Mississauga to assemble automation components and transfer equipment. You will interpret blueprints, install equipment, and troubleshoot with a focus on hydraulics and machine mechanisms.

The role requires 3+ years as a millwright or similar, strong mechanical aptitude, and ability to work well in a team while meeting customer timelines.

Qualifications

• Must have completed an accredited millwright certificate program.
• Strong mechanical aptitude is required for assembly and servicing.
• Excellent communication skills are essential for teamwork.
• Ability to work with minimal supervision and prioritize tasks.

Responsibilities

• Assembles electrical and pneumatic systems in accordance to work order using hand and power tools.
• Tests all assembled systems for quality, quantity, and time.
• Maintains system accuracy by updating inventory records for parts used and defective parts.
• Assists customers with needs assessment and completes repairs.
• Coordinates with material handling, sales, and others to expedite orders.
• Reviews and interprets engineering specs, schematics, and blueprints to determine procedures.
• Determines which machines, techniques, and tools to use when moving equipment and completing jobs.
• Maintains a safe and orderly work area.
• Other duties as assigned

General Description

We are searching for a talented and qualified millwright who has proven experience with industrial and construction equipment. You will be responsible for assembly of Automation components, product machinery, transferring equipment, interpreting blueprints, and installing equipment.

The ideal candidate has in-depth knowledge of hydraulics, motors, and other industrial machine mechanisms essential for job procedures. Must be a team player with strong attention to detail and customer focus. In this position, you should also be able to make decisions, troubleshoot, and work independently with little to no supervision.

Responsibilities

• Assembles electrical and pneumatic systems in accordance to work order using hand and power tools.
• Tests all assembled systems for standard expectations of quality, quantity, and time.
• Maintains system accuracy by updating inventory records for parts used defective parts, and additional parts needed.
• Assists customers with needs assessment and completes repairs.

Requirements/Skills

• 1-5 years of Assembly or Shop experience preferred
• A minimum of 3 years’ experience as a millwright or similar job
• Strong mechanical aptitude
• Strong sense of urgency and ability to prioritize to be able to meet the expectations of the customer with respect to quantity and timing
• Detail oriented is extremely important to provide the highest level of quality
• Customer focused
• Completion of an accredited millwright certificate program
