Basic Function

Petro-Canada Lubricants Inc. (PCLI), an HF Sinclair company, located in Mississauga, Ontario, is seeking an Industrial Mechanic/Millwright. The Maintenance Technician (Industrial Mechanic) plays a critical role in maintaining the reliability of Lubricants Centre production. This safety-conscious individual will install, service, and repair a variety of plant equipment. The successful candidate will participate in establishing an environment that reflects craft flexibility and teamwork. Each individual is responsible for maintaining and enhancing their skills, as well as sharing their knowledge with others.

Job Duties
  1. Install and repair a variety of rotating equipment, including pumps, compressors, steam turbines, fans, blowers, gearboxes, etc.
  2. Troubleshoot equipment failures and perform repairs
  3. Implement preventative and predictive maintenance programs for mechanical systems
  4. Participate in failure analysis discussions
  5. Use shop equipment such as lathes, milling machines, and drill presses
  6. Maintain equipment histories
  7. Plan jobs, including assessment and material selection
  8. Work effectively in a team environment and communicate clearly
  9. Assist other maintenance technicians as required
Experience & Education
  • Basic knowledge of all types of rotating and reciprocating equipment
  • Previous industrial experience is an asset
  • Certificate of Qualification for Millwright is required
Required Skills
  • Strong safety performance
  • Analytical, troubleshooting, and decision-making skills
  • Experience operating shop equipment
  • Ability to repair equipment to OEM standards
  • Ability to work independently and in teams
  • Good housekeeping standards
  • Planning and estimating skills (asset)
  • Knowledge of vibration analysis and laser alignment (asset)
  • Knowledge of SAP (preferred)
  • Computer literacy (MS Office, Windows)
  • Knowledge of W.H.M.I.S. and OH&S regulations
Work Conditions
  • Work in various temperatures and weather conditions, including exposure to dust, water, petroleum products, and working at heights up to 200 ft.
  • Complete all phases of the Performance Based Progression program
  • Overtime is required
  • Starting hourly rate: $62.74
Physical Requirements

Heavy lifting, working on ladders and elevated sites, indoors and outdoors.
