Industrial Millwright

Job Summary

This role reports to the Maintenance Supervisor and is responsible for maintaining production and quality by ensuring the proper operation of machinery and mechanical equipment.

Responsibilities

• Ensure machinery and equipment operate efficiently through preventive maintenance
• Identify and troubleshoot mechanical issues using appropriate tools and techniques
• Disassemble and repair defective parts
• Inspect and measure parts to determine necessary adjustments
• Adjust and calibrate equipment as needed
• Fabricate repair parts and new components using machine shop tools
• Maintain and repair production machinery to ensure optimal operation
• Assist with planning and closing work orders in Maximo
• Document parts, materials, and repairs accurately
• Maintain a safe and clean work environment in compliance with regulations

Candidate Requirements

• Valid Ontario Industrial Mechanic License 433A (Red Seal)
• Full set of metric standard tools
• Experience with mechanical devices, pneumatic controls, welding, and cutting
• Minimum of 3 years experience in manufacturing
• Ability to read mechanical drawings
• Flexibility to work shifts, extended hours, and weekends
• Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds regularly
• Ability to stand or walk for 70-90% of the shift
• Comfortable working at heights and in confined spaces
