Red Deer Polytechnic is seeking a Sessional Industrial Mechanic (Millwright) Instructor to teach the apprenticeship program for 2026/2027. The role focuses on delivering theory and hands-on shop components, developing curriculum, and supporting student success.
Ideal candidates will have an Alberta Journeyperson Certificate (Millwright) and Red Seal, with strong teaching ability, mentoring skills, and experience in post-secondary settings.

The School of Trades and Technology is looking for a Sessional Industrial Mechanic (Millwright) Instructor to teach and develop curriculum in the Industrial Mechanic (Millwright) Apprenticeship program for the 2026/2027 Academic Year.
is a multidisciplinary school committed to innovation, applied learning, and student success across a broad spectrum of programs. We are Alberta’s third-largest provider of Skilled Trades Apprenticeship training, offering 17 trades and two Engineering Technology diplomas. RDP is a major sponsor of Skills Canada Alberta and has seen many of our students excel in Skills competitions provincially, nationally, and at World Skills.
Alongside this, our Science and Computing programs are rapidly growing, offering certificates, diplomas, university transfer options, and collaborative degrees that prepare students for careers in research, industry, health, and technology.

There is paid time off due to Institution closures between Christmas and New Year general holidays.
This position also offers an additional 8% of the regular salary in lieu of vacation.
