Qualifications

  • Master’s degree in Computer Science or closely related discipline.
  • A minimum of 3 years related work experience.
  • Post-secondary teaching experience.

  • Delivering courses congruent with established course curricula and program outcomes.
  • Supporting the success of students with diverse cultural and educational backgrounds and learning styles.
  • Assessing student learning in ways that facilitate learning and align with academic standards.

Position Responsibilities

The School of Trades and Technology is seeking a Full-Time Probationary Continuous Instructor to teach primarily in the Computer Programming diploma as well as potentially some courses in the Artificial Intelligence and Data Analytics and Network Administration diplomas.

Responsibilities of Full-Time Faculty at the School of Trades and Technology include (but are not limited to):

  • Delivering courses congruent with established course curricula and program outcomes
  • Supporting the success of students with diverse cultural and educational backgrounds and learning styles
  • Assessing student learning in ways that both facilitate learning and ensure achievement against appropriate academic standards
  • Inspiring students by exhibiting enthusiasm for teaching, learning, and subject material
  • Contributing to course and program curriculum development and renewal
  • Engaging in scholarly activity within the domains of Ernest Boyer’s model: scholarship of discovery, application, integration, and teaching
  • Working collegially within department, School, or Institution committees and project teams
