Job summary

TEEMA is seeking a skilled Maintenance Mechanic for our client in Richmond, BC. You will maintain, repair, troubleshoot, and overhaul industrial equipment, ensuring safe and efficient operation across sites.

Responsibilities include performing machine fitting, welding, pipefitting, servicing pumps and engines, and using CMMS for maintenance records. Strong problem-solving, blueprints reading, and safety compliance are required, with a BC driver’s license and ability to work shifts.

Qualifications

• Trade qualification certificate as a Heavy Duty Mechanic or Millwright.
• Grade 12 or equivalent.
• Minimum 4 years of mechanical maintenance experience.
• Experience with large pumps, diesel engines, dual-fuel engines.
• Reading blueprints and performing machine fitting, welding, and pipefitting.
• Proficient with hand tools, power tools, and shop equipment.
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
• CMMS and predictive maintenance system experience.
• BC driver’s license.

Responsibilities

• Install, maintain, repair, and overhaul industrial machinery and equipment.
• Troubleshoot mechanical issues and take corrective action at various sites.
• Maintain and service large pumps, diesel engines, compressors, turbines, valves, and conveyors.
• Install and service valves, piping, and conveyor systems.
• Perform machine fitting, pipefitting, welding, and layout work.
• Use hand, power, and shop tools including lathes and grinders.
• Maintain maintenance records and use CMMS systems.
• Provide guidance and training to junior mechanics and operators.
