Job summary

Alsco Uniforms is seeking a dependable Custodian (Non-Exempt) to maintain cleanliness and safety across facilities in a demanding industrial laundry environment. The role requires physical work, daily attention to safety, and the ability to work both independently and as part of a team.

The position offers an early shift (4:00 am–12:30 pm), with compensation of $24–$26 per hour, plus a matched pension plan and comprehensive benefits.

Qualifications

• Basic knowledge of cleaning products, equipment, and painting techniques.
• Ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks while working independently and on a team.
• Basic knowledge and safe use of hand tools.
• Ability to understand and follow written and verbal instructions accurately.
• Ability to safely operate a powered industrial truck, when required, and obtain certification.

Responsibilities

• Perform heavy cleaning of plant equipment using compressed air and other approved cleaning methods.
• Scrub, sanitize, vacuum, sweep, and mop floors and surfaces.
• Clean offices, bathrooms, break rooms, production areas, and other facility spaces.
• Move furniture, supplies, textiles, and equipment within departments or into storage.
• Maintain exterior grounds, including trimming shrubs and clearing walkways of snow, leaves, and debris.
• Report repairs, spills, safety concerns, hazardous conditions, and other facility issues to supervision.
