Job summary

BRP is seeking an Industrial Engineering Logistics Technician at its Valcourt, Quebec plant to help develop manufacturing strategies and optimize material flow. You will work with the Industrial Engineering Logistics Team Lead to support warehousing, routing, and layout decisions that improve efficiency across the plant.

• A college diploma in industrial engineering, mechanical engineering, logistics, or relevant equivalent.
• Knowledge of AutoCAD, Excel and SAP; VBA, Catia and Arena are assets.
• Strong leadership, organizational skills, autonomy, rigour, innovation and teamwork.
• Experience in plant and warehouse layout and time/motion analysis related to material handling.
• Professional communication in English and French due to global supplier base.

We are looking for an Industrial Engineering Logistics Technician, reporting to the Industrial Engineering Logistics Team Lead, to assist us in developing manufacturing strategies. As part of your role, you’ll be significantly contributing to the organization's growth.

YOU'LL HAVE THE OPPORTUNITY TO:

• Be responsible for master data, SAP coding, order multiples, and warehouses—coding parts, optimizing packaging (KLM), and liaising with suppliers.

• Support operations to optimize all of our logistics and material flow processes, from the receipt of merchandise at our warehouse to the delivery of components to the workstation in the plant.

• Set up structures to optimize material handling tasks, problem-solving, labour calculations, and delivery and warehousing strategies using time studies or other logistics tools.

• Plan the layout of parts during product changes.

• Plan product changes for the operations teams in the relevant sectors.

• Plan parts delivery routes.

• Develop and maintain work tools (dashboards, KPIs, etc.).

• Support logistics production implementation and OHS initiatives within your plant sector.

• Collaborate with various departments.

YOU'LL THRIVE IN THIS ROLE IF YOU HAVE THE FOLLOWING SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS:

• A college diploma in industrial engineering, mechanical engineering, logistics, or any other relevant equivalent.

• Knowledge of software: AutoCAD, Suite Office (Excel), and SAP. Knowledge of VBA, Catia and Arena would be assets.

• Leadership, organizational skills, autonomy, rigour, innovation, the ability to simplify complex information, and teamwork.

• Experience in plant and warehouse layout, and in time and motion analysis related to material handling and traffic modelling.

• Professional communication in English and French (written and spoken) is relevant due to our global supplier base and our interactions with BRP's international teams.
