Job summary

Intertape Polymer Group (IPG) in Truro, NS, is seeking an experienced Electrical Technician (Red Seal Industrial Electrician) to join our maintenance team. You will troubleshoot and maintain industrial equipment, PLCs, drives and control systems in a manufacturing setting.

Responsibilities include diagnostics, preventative maintenance, equipment upgrades and safe, high‑quality workmanship. You will work with a team of tradespeople to ensure reliability and safety across the plant.

Qualifications

Red Seal Electrician certification with industrial experience.
Post-secondary technical or vocational training in electrical or electronics technology.

Responsibilities

Troubleshoot and repair industrial electrical and electronic equipment.
Diagnose faults in electrical circuits, controls, PLCs, drives and related equipment.
Respond to electrical service calls and equipment issues on the production floor.
Complete preventative and corrective maintenance.
Repair, replace, modify and install electrical components and systems.
Test and calibrate electrical instruments and equipment.
Support equipment installations, rebuilds, modifications and upgrades.
Read and interpret blueprints, electrical drawings, wiring diagrams and schematics.
Document completed work and equipment history in the CMMS.
Identify opportunities to improve equipment performance or reliability.
