Job summary

AFIMAC Canada is actively hiring experienced Industrial Electricians for an upcoming assignment in Southwest Ontario. The role involves 10-12 hour shifts, 4 days per week when on project, with earnings of $75 per hour before overtime and additional allowances as needed.

Responsibilities include troubleshooting, electrical maintenance, reading schematics, and PLC programming, with travel, hotel accommodations, and flights provided where required. Strong English communication is essential.

Qualifications

• Must possess a valid 442A certificate.
• Minimum 1 year industrial electrician experience in manufacturing.
• Knowledge/experience with hydraulic or pneumatic equipment.
• Experience with SAP is preferred.
• Strong mechanical skills.
• PLC programming experience preferred.
• Strong organizational and time management skills.
• Ability to work on your feet for extended periods.
• Demonstrated strong interpersonal, technical and communication skills.
• Fluent English (written and verbal).

Responsibilities

• Provide troubleshooting for expeditious repair of plant equipment and facilities.
• Perform building maintenance and repairs including fans, pumps and auxiliary systems.
• Read and apply local and national electrical codes and schematics.
• Install, maintain and troubleshoot relay logic, ladder diagrams and controls.
• Follow diagrams, manufacturer instructions and specs.
• Demonstrate strong PLC troubleshooting and programming skills.
• Work with hydraulic and pneumatic systems knowledgeably.
• Run power lines to production or service equipment per safety codes.
