Job summary

AFIMAC Canada is actively hiring experienced Industrial Electricians for an upcoming assignment in Southwest Ontario. The role involves long shifts (10-12 hours, 4 days/week) and travel with accommodations provided when required.

Compensation includes $75 per hour before overtime, a $30 per day non-taxed meal allowance when lodging is required, paid travel (up to 4 hours), and lodging/flight provisions as needed. AFIMAC has a long-standing history of risk management and client-focused services.

Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year of industrial electrician experience in manufacturing.
• Experience with hydraulic or pneumatic equipment.
• Knowledge of local electrical codes and safety standards.
• Fluent English, strong communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Provide troubleshooting for expedient repair of all plant equipment and facilities.
• Perform building maintenance and repairs including fans, pumps, and auxiliary systems.
• Read and apply electrical codes, schematics, and engineering specs.
• Install, maintain and troubleshoot relay logic, ladder diagrams & controls.
• Read electrical schematics and follow diagrams and manufacturer instructions.
• Demonstrate strong PLC troubleshooting and programming abilities.
• Work with hydraulic and pneumatic systems understanding.
• Run power lines to production or service equipment per safety codes.
