Job Summary

This role is responsible for ensuring proper electrical functioning of plant equipment, tools, and machinery. This role will troubleshoot any electrical malfunctioning, and complete appropriate repairs and maintenance. Job Responsibilities

1. Install, adjust, and repair production equipment and special purpose machines as assigned
2. Perform general repairs to plant structures
3. Test and troubleshoot malfunctioning machinery, determine repairs and discuss with head mechanic for approval and repair as needed
4. Replace faulty parts, electrical wires, motors, controls, and circuit boards
5. Install equipment and electrical components and test to ensure proper functioning
6. Maintain and repair all existing electrical equipment in the production areas
7. Install power supply wiring and conduit for newly installed machines and equipment
8. Read blueprints, wiring diagrams, process sheets, and assembly schematic drawings
9. Calibrate and adjust all electrical/electronic equipment according to manufacturer’s specifications
10. Maintenance for programmable logic controller based equipment
11. Dismantle equipment to gain access to and remove defective parts using hoists, cranes, hand tools, and power tools
12. Lubricate and clean parts and equipment to ensure proper operation

Job Requirements

1. Electrician red seal
2. Knowledge of safety requirements, especially those related to electrical operations and components
3. Knowledge of hydraulics, mechanics, electricity, carpentry, or related field preferred
4. Ability to read and understand electrical schematics and blueprints
5. Working knowledge of three-phase motors, programmable controls, and circuits
6. Ability to lift, push or pull up to 50 lbs.

1. Base pay at $38.82
