Job description

Journeyperson Electrician

We are looking to add a Journeyperson Electrician to our staff. You will be responsible for electrical installations with specific responsibility for identifying repair and/or replacement needs; installing, repairing, maintaining and upgrading electrical systems and equipment; assisting other skilled trades; and maintaining profitability for the company.

Requirements:
  • Minimum of 5 years' field experience.
  • Leadership experience and the ability to run projects of various sizes
  • Solid interpersonal and customer service abilities.
  • Must be strong on all facets of electrical and mechanical repair and service, as well as exceptional troubleshooting, analytic and problem-solving skills.
  • Proficient in reading schematics and prints; detailed and self-motivated.
  • Personal hand tools.
  • Be able to support 24-hour emergency service for our clients as well as have the ability to work out of town when needed.
  • Required to be on a rotating on call service schedule
  • Extensive experience with commercial/industrial service
  • Commercial Kitchen knowledge and service experience preferred
Preferred:
  • Industrial, office, warehouse, and commercial kitchen experience.
Work Environment:
  • Both inside climate controlled work as well as outside conditions.
  • Ability to climb stairs, ladders and scaffolds, bend, stoop, push, pull, reach, kneel.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
  • Ability to stand or walk for long periods of time.
  • Must utilize safety equipment at all times.
Special Requirements:
  • Must be able to work evenings, weekends and holidays from time to time.
  • Must possess a current driver's license, and clean driving record.
  • Subject to a background check prior to employment.
