Job summary

Jamieson Wellness Inc. in Windsor, Ontario, seeks an Electrician to support facility and production equipment maintenance. You will troubleshoot electrical and automation systems to reduce downtime and keep production running smoothly.

Responsibilities include preventive maintenance, wiring, panel work and documentation. Must read drawings; strong communication and safety practices are required. Three-shift operation and overtime may apply.

Qualifications

• Hands-on troubleshooting and repair in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
• Experience with PLC, VFD, robots and automation equipment.
• Ability to read equipment drawings and manuals.
• Demonstrated English communication skills and self-start capability.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot and repair electrical and automation equipment in packaging, tabulating, blending and coating systems.
• Identify and resolve electrical issues to minimize downtime and maintain system functionality.
• Perform routine preventative maintenance as scheduled.
• Document maintenance, repairs and spare parts for SOP compliance.
• Install and maintain facility wiring, panels, conduits and lighting.
• Support other maintenance tasks and work safely under GMP policies.

What You’ll Do

As a key member of the Operations team, you'll help shape health and wellness outcomes for people around the world.

In this role:

The Electrician is responsible for supporting maintenance of the facility and the production equipment. Completing tasks in a safe and efficient manner to support the reduction of downtime on equipment and minimize the disruption to production and the facility in general is a top priority.

Specific Key Responsibilities & Duties

• Troubleshoot and repair electrical and automation equipment in packaging, tabulating, blending, coating, and building systems as required.
• Identify and resolve electrical issues promptly to minimize downtime and ensure optimal system functionality.
• Perform routine preventative maintenance as scheduled.
• Document preventative maintenance, repair work and spare parts to facilitate SOP requirements.
• Installing and maintaining the facility and equipment, electrical wiring, electrical panels, conduits, lighting fixtures and other electrical components.
• Assist where necessary in other maintenance functions throughout the facility.
• Maintain equipment in maintenance shop.
• Practice safe health and safety practices when performing job responsibilities.
• Working in compliance with the company' s Health & Safety Policies/SOP's including but not limited to the Safety Responsibilities Procedure.
• Will comply with Good Manufacturing Practices in all GMP sensitive areas of Jamieson Laboratories Ltd. Facilities
• Assist where necessary in other maintenance functions throughout the facility.
• Other duties and responsibilities as assigned.

What You Bring

You bring curiosity, collaboration, and a desire to do meaningful work. You may bring experience in:

• O.S.S.D or equivalent
• Dual ticket as a 433A and 442A/309A would be highly desirable
• Certificate of Apprenticeship
• Demonstrated hands on experience and skills for troubleshooting and repairing different types of equipment in a fast-paced multi-skilled automated manufacturing/industrial environment, including PLC, VFD, Robots, and industrial automation equipment.
• Ability to read equipment drawings and equipment manuals.
• Self-starter able to work with minimum supervision.
• Strong verbal and written English skills.
• Available to work three shift operation and required overtime.
• Good communication skills with all levels of employees

Compensation

Jamieson Wellness offers a competitive total rewards package designed to support your well-being and professional growth. This includes base pay, eligibility for our Short-Term Incentive Program, and a comprehensive benefits offering.

For this role, the hourly rate is $50.00/hour.
