Job summary

Frontier Bakery in Mississauga is seeking a skilled tradesperson to install and maintain electrical systems in our facility. The role involves wiring, testing, and maintaining switchgear, transformers, and control systems, with an emphasis on safety and code compliance.

The ideal candidate has 7 months to <1 year of related experience, can read drawings, and is capable of physical tasks such as bending and kneeling. This is an on-site role with no remote option.

Qualifications

• 7 months to less than 1 year of electrical experience.
• On-site electrical work experience preferred.
• Ability to read drawings and blueprints.
• Must be able to perform physically demanding tasks.

Responsibilities

• Install electrical wiring, receptacles, switch boxes, conduits, feeders, lighting fixtures and other electrical components
• Test electrical and electronic equipment and components for continuity, current, voltage and resistance
• Maintain, repair, install and test switchgear, transformers, switchboard meters, regulators and reactors
• Troubleshoot, maintain and repair industrial, electrical and electronic control systems and other related devices
• Conduct preventive maintenance programs and keep maintenance records
• Read and interpret drawings, blueprints, schematics and electrical code specifications to determine layout of industrial electrical equipment installations
