PaperWorks in Kitchener, Ontario, is seeking a skilled Industrial Electrician to join our on-site team. The role involves installing, maintaining, repairing, and testing industrial electrical systems across a busy facility.

Qualified candidates will have 5+ years of experience, red-seal certification, and the ability to read blueprints and schematics. The job requires manual dexterity, physical stamina, and strong problem-solving skills. On-site work with a supportive team environment.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in electrical work or related field.
• Excellent oral communication and teamwork abilities.
• Ability to read and interpret electrical drawings and schematics.
• Attention to detail and accuracy in maintenance tasks.

Responsibilities

• Install electrical wiring, receptacles, switch boxes, conduits, feeders, lighting fixtures and other electrical components.
• Maintain industrial instrumentation and related devices.
• Replace or repair electrical components.
• Test electrical and electronic equipment for continuity, current, voltage and resistance.
• Instruct apprentices and assist with training.

Responsibilities

Tasks

• Install electrical wiring, receptacles, switch boxes, conduits, feeders, lighting fixtures and other electrical components
• Maintain industrial instrumentation and related devices
• Replace or repair electrical components
• Test electrical and electronic equipment and components for continuity, current, voltage and resistance
• Instruct apprentices
• Maintain, repair, install and test switchgear, transformers, switchboard meters, regulators and reactors
• Maintain, repair, test and install electrical motors, generators, alternators, industrial storage batteries and hydraulic and pneumatic electrical control systems
• Interpret electrical code specifications
• Conduct preventive maintenance programs and keep maintenance records
• Read and interpret drawings, blueprints, schematics and electrical code specifications to determine layout of industrial electrical equipment installations
