Job summary

Fiera Foods in Toronto seeks a skilled electrician/industrial instrumentation technician with 2–3 years of experience to install, calibrate, maintain and repair industrial electrical systems at our on-site facility.

You will read drawings, interpret electrical code specifications and perform preventive maintenance, troubleshooting, and testing of control systems to ensure reliable operation. This role requires on-site work only and health benefits are provided.

Qualifications

• 2–3 years of experience in industrial instrumentation and electrical installation/maintenance.
• Ability to read and interpret drawings, blueprints, and electrical code specifications.

Responsibilities

• Install and calibrate industrial instrumentation and related devices.
• Install electrical wiring, receptacles, switch boxes, conduits, feeders, lighting fixtures and other components.
• Maintain industrial instrumentation and related devices.
• Replace or repair electrical components.
• Test electrical equipment for continuity, current, voltage, and resistance.
• Maintain, repair and test switchgear, transformers, switchboard meters, and control systems.
• Troubleshoot and maintain electrical and electronic control systems.
• Read and interpret drawings and schematics for installations.

• Install and calibrate industrial instrumentation and related devices
• Install electrical wiring, receptacles, switch boxes, conduits, feeders, lighting fixtures and other electrical components
• Maintain industrial instrumentation and related devices
• Replace or repair electrical components
• Test electrical and electronic equipment and components for continuity, current, voltage and resistance
• Maintain, repair, install and test switchgear, transformers, switchboard meters, regulators and reactors
• Maintain, repair, test and install electrical motors, generators, alternators, industrial storage batteries and hydraulic and pneumatic electrical control systems
• Maintain inventory of stored material
• Troubleshoot, maintain and repair industrial, electrical and electronic control systems and other related devices
• Interpret electrical code specifications
• Conduct preventive maintenance programs and keep maintenance records
• Read and interpret drawings, blueprints, schematics and electrical code specifications to determine layout of industrial electrical equipment installations
