Job summary

Karma Candy Inc. in Ontario requires an Industrial Machinery Technician to assemble, install, and maintain mechanical equipment on-site. You will read blueprints, program PLCs, and support commissioning of systems.

The ideal candidate has a Bachelor's degree or equivalent, 1–2 years of experience, and strong English communication. This role is based at the physical location with no remote option.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience required.
• 1 year to less than 2 years of experience preferred.
• English language proficiency required.

Responsibilities

• Assemble mechanical equipment and stationary machinery on site.
• Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and specifications to determine work requirements.
• Construct foundations for machinery and install equipment.
• Repair or replace defective machinery parts and fabricate components.
• Estimate costs and materials for maintenance and overhaul tasks.
• Program PLCs and commission systems and components.
• Perform routine maintenance and operate machining tools to fabricate parts.
• Coach and train apprentices on procedures and safety.
