Olymel in Cornwall, Ontario is seeking an Industrial Electrician to install, maintain, and upgrade electrical systems, aiming to minimize downtime and boost efficiency across the plant. The role is permanent, full-time with a day shift and a starting wage around $36.05/hour, progressing to $40.15/hour after four months.

Qualifications

• Valid Industrial Electrician license.
• Industrial Electrician experience is an asset.
• Knowledge of GMP and HACCP is an asset.
• Ability to function autonomously and in a team.

Responsibilities

• Install, maintain, test and upgrade electrical fixtures and control equipment to minimize downtime and improve efficiency.
• Troubleshoot faults in electrical or electronic systems and replace components as required.
• Complete electrical logs and modify plant electrical blueprints.
• Follow plant lockout procedures and all pertinent company health and safety procedures.
• Ensure all guards including panel doors are in place.

Job Summary

Under the direction of the Maintenance Manager, the Electrician will be responsible for installing, maintaining, and upgrading electrical components to minimize downtime and improve efficiency.

Responsibilities

• The installation, assembly, connecting, testing, repairing, troubleshooting, maintenance and upgrading of electrical fixtures, components, apparatus and control equipment to minimize downtime and maintain or improve efficiency.
• Troubleshooting and systematically diagnosing and correcting faults in electrical or electronic systems and equipment by repairing, and/or replacing electrical or electronic components as required.
• Complete electrical log and modify plant electrical blueprints.
• Follow plant lockout procedures and all pertinent company health and safety procedures.
• Ensure all guards including panel doors are in place.

Qualifications and Education Experience

• Valid Industrial Electrician License
• Industrial Electrician experience considered an asset
• Knowledge of Good Manufacturing Practices and HACCP considered an asset
• Ability to function effectively autonomously and in a team environment
