Job summary

Olymel in Canada is seeking an Electrician to join our team for a Day shift. You will read drawings, install and repair electrical systems on industrial equipment, and support operational efficiency.

The role requires 309A/442A license, will perform preventive maintenance, testing, calibration, and troubleshooting of motors, switchgear and control systems. This temporary full-time position offers competitive compensation and benefits.

Qualifications

• Read and interpret drawings, blueprints, schematics and electrical code specifications.
• Install, examine, replace or repair wiring, receptacles, switch boxes, conduits and lighting fixtures.
• Test electrical equipment for continuity, current, voltage and resistance.
• Maintain, repair and test switchgear, transformers, meters, regulators and reactors.
• Maintain motors, generators and control systems; troubleshoot electrical/electronic controls.
• Perform preventive maintenance and keep maintenance records.
• May install and calibrate instrumentation and related devices.

• Conduct preventive maintenance on electrical and electronic equipment programs and keep maintenance records
• May install, maintain and calibrate industrial instrumentation and related devices
• Provide insight and suggestions for improvement to equipment and processes
• Attend all job training, as needed
