Industrial Electrical Superintendent — Lead Project Teams

Job summary

Ledcor is seeking a seasoned Electrical Superintendent to lead our Industrial division across Western Canada. You will oversee safe, efficient execution of all piping and electrical activities, mentor field staff, and ensure work is completed on time and within budget.

You will champion safety, environmental stewardship, and quality standards, guiding subcontractors and trades from planning through turnover on major projects valued at tens of millions. Travel and site-based rotations apply.

Qualifications

• 3 to 8 years of construction supervision experience on industrial projects.
• Journeyperson Electrician certification, post-secondary diploma, or engineering degree.
• Experience supervising Electrical Forepersons and crews of 50+ electricians.
• Proven track record of maintaining a strong safety culture.

Responsibilities

• Ensure site safety measures meet or exceed requirements outlined in safety policies and legislation.
• Lead electrical construction activities including equipment installation, cable tray installation, cable pulling, terminations, grounding, lighting, testing, and turnover.
• Coordinate manpower, materials, subcontractors, schedules, quality standards, and commissioning activities.
• Hire, manage, and support hourly employees in collaboration with Construction and Project Managers.
• Supervise, train, coach, and mentor project team members including direct and indirect reports.
• Communicate effectively with staff, trades, subcontractors, and clients to achieve safety, productivity, quality, and performance objectives.
• Ensure projects are completed according to plans, specs, codes, and quality standards.
• Review contracts, identify risks, and support targets, forecasts, and profitability goals.
• Develop and update 30/60/90-day look-ahead schedules and meet milestones.
