Job summary

Pason-Systems-Corp is seeking a full-time Electrical Drafter to support documentation of industrial automation and control systems in Calgary. You will draft electrical schematics, panel layouts, and BOMs for PLC-based controls, collaborating with engineering and manufacturing teams to ensure compliant, cost-effective designs.

Ideal candidates have 3+ years drafting industrial control panels, strong AutoCAD Electrical skills, and knowledge of industry standards such as UL 508A.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of experience drafting industrial PLC control panels.
• Proficiency with AutoCAD Electrical/AutoCAD and knowledge of panel design and BOMs.
• Familiarity with electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, panel layouts, cable schedules, revision control.

Responsibilities

• Revise electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, single-line diagrams, and BOMs for industrial automation.
• Develop as-built manufacturing drawing packages for ICPs and PLC panels.
• Convert concepts and markups into accurate CAD drawings.
• Create panel layouts with component placement and enclosure selection.
• Maintain project documentation and revision records.
• Coordinate with engineers and procurement to resolve issues.
• Work with fabrication shops to address questions and feedback.
• Perform drawing quality reviews for compliance.
