CCM Hockey in Montreal is seeking an Industrial Designer to translate consumer insights and performance needs into innovative skate products. You’ll work with the PM, R&D, Marketing, and suppliers to balance athlete expectations with manufacturing realities and meet quality, timing, cost, and performance goals.

Formación

• Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Design.
• Minimum of 3 years of product design experience.

Responsabilidades

• Identify product opportunities from consumer insights, athlete feedback, market trends, and business needs.
• Develop and maintain design deliverables: sketches, renderings, artwork, CAD files, and tech packs.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams through the product creation process.
• Work with suppliers and factories to ensure design feasibility and execution support.
• Create visual assets for presentations, storytelling, and launches.
• Maintain design intent through development, testing, and production.
• Support successful product launches meeting consumer expectations and business goals.

The main purpose of the Industrial Designer within the Skates Business Unit (BU) is to play a key role in transforming consumer insights, market opportunities, and performance needs into innovative skate products. Reporting to the design manager, needs to working closely with the Product Manager (PM), Developers/R&D, Advanced concept department, Marketing, Testing, and suppliers, the role creates a link between product vision and execution, balancing athlete expectations, branding, and manufacturing realities. The position goal is to deliver compelling product lines that exceed consumer expectations while achieving business objectives for quality, timing, cost, and performance.

Key Accountabilities:

1. Identify product opportunities through consumer insights & research, athlete feedback, market trends, and business needs, and contribute innovative design concepts.
2. Develop and maintain design deliverables, including sketches, renderings, artwork, CAD files, and technical packages.
3. Collaborate with cross-functional teams throughout the product creation process.
4. Work with suppliers and factories to ensure design feasibility and support product execution.
5. Create visual assets to support product presentations, storytelling, and launches.
6. Maintain design intent throughout development, testing, and production.
7. Support the successful launch of products that meet consumer expectations and business objectives.

Key Position Characteristics:
