Job summary

University of Saskatchewan invites applications for a Student Assistant at the Gordon Oakes Red Bear Student Centre. The role supports programs, services, and events dedicated to Indigenous student success and engagement on campus.

Will work with the Indigenous Student Services Manager and team, assisting with administrative duties, event setup, front-desk coverage, and program assistance while maintaining the Centre’s welcoming environment.

Qualifications

• Education: Full-time undergraduate student at the University of Saskatchewan within first, second, third, or fourth years.
• Experience: Office setting or university involvement is an asset.
• Knowledge of Indigenous communities and histories is an asset.

Responsibilities

• Assist with the Centre’s programs, services, and events throughout the year (e.g., workshops, study nights, wellness events).
• Support the team during special events (Indigenous Achievement Week, New Indigenous Student Welcome).
• Assist with setup/takedown of tables, chairs, AV, and maintain space tidiness.
• Cover front desk during staff absence and help with data entry and general office duties.
