Job summary

The Lambton Kent District School Board is seeking Registered Social Workers who identify as First Nations, Métis, or Inuit to support school staff with proactive interventions and strategies for mental health awareness. The Social Worker will collaborate with community agencies and partners to ensure integrated services for Indigenous youth and families.

One CUPE, 12 month, 35 hours/week position with home locations to be determined.

Qualifications

• Masters in Social Work completed from an accredited university.
• Registered and in good standing with OSWSSW or CRPO.
• Minimum 3 years of relevant experience in child welfare/education/medical settings is preferred.
• Experience supporting Indigenous youth in educational or developmental settings.

Responsibilities

• Support school staff with proactive interventions and strategies.
• Collaborate with community agencies to ensure integrated service delivery.
• Liaise with school administration and staff as part of multi-disciplinary teams.
• Maintain accurate documentation ensuring privacy and confidentiality.
