Job summary

Northern Health in Quesnel is seeking a Home Support Attendant to provide in‑home care under a care plan, assisting with daily living activities to promote independence.

Must have BC Care Aide Registry registration, graduation from a recognized program, a valid Class 5 driver’s license, CPR/First Aid and Food Safe certificates, and access to a personal vehicle.

Qualifications

• Graduation from a recognized Home Support Attendant/ Resident Care Aid Program
• Registration with the BC Care Aid & Community Health Worker Registry
• Valid Class 5 BC Drivers’ License
• CPR, First Aid and Food Safe certificates
• Use of personal vehicle
• Or equivalent combination of current education, training and experience

Responsibilities

• Assist with activities of daily living (bathing, grooming, oral hygiene, meal planning/prep)
• Promote maximum independence for clients in the community
• Perform delegated tasks per training
• Ensure well‑being of individuals and families and promote independent living
