Job summary

Classic LifeCare is seeking compassionate Home Support Workers on a casual basis to support clients in their own homes in Prince George, BC.

Responsibilities include personal care, medications, light meals and housekeeping, companionship, medical escort services, and medication management; all while following company guidelines.

On-site training is provided; PPE is supplied; flexible hours and 24/7 coordinator/nurse support are available; BC registry number and Care Aide certificate are assets.

Qualifications

• Experience working with seniors and/or individuals with disabilities.
• Must be reliable, punctual, and able to work independently.
• Flexible to work short and long shifts.
• Criminal record check required; driver's license is an asset.

We are currently seeking compassionate caregivers to join our team on a casual basis, supporting clients in their own home. Compensation:$20 per hour

As a Home Support Worker, your responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:

• Providing assistance with personal care and medications.
• Conducting light meal preparation and homemaking services.
• Offering companionship and emotional support.
• Assisting with medical escort services.
• Assisting with medication management.
• Assisting with housekeeping.
• Following the guidelines and policies of the company.

Competencies and Qualifications:

• Experience working with seniors and/or individuals with disabilities.
• Willingness to work both short and long shifts.
• Willingness to take initiative and complete household tasks such as housekeeping, light personal care (if required), companionship, and assistance with any outings.
• Ability to work independently while maintaining professionalism.
• Reliability, punctuality, and a positive and friendly attitude.
• Possession of a Care Aide certificate and BC registry number is an asset.
• Willingness to commute to designated locations.
• A clean criminal record check.
• Possession of a driver's license (considered an asset).
• Located around or willing to travel to the Quesnel, BC area.
• Flexibility in choosing your preferred hours.
• On-site training is provided to ensure your success.
• 24/7 support from our team of coordinators and nurses.
• Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) will be provided before your first shift.
