Job summary

Humber Polytechnic is seeking an Accessible Learning Coordinator to join the Accessible Learning Services team. This on-site role supports Deaf, hard of hearing, blind and visually impaired learners with accommodations and service coordination at Humber’s North Campus, with travel to other campuses as needed.

You will manage service providers, process renewals, review funding applications, and liaise with health professionals to ensure equitable access.

Qualifications

• Understanding of Ontario Human Rights Code, Charter & AODA.
• Knowledge of accessibility best practices in post-secondary education.
• Experience supporting diverse learners and accommodation planning.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate interpreters, captioners, and educational assistants for learners with disabilities.
• Process accommodation renewals and referrals for assessments.
• Review funding applications and determine eligibility for supports.
• Liaise with psychologists and health professionals to determine appropriate accommodations.
• Onboard service providers and provision access to learning platforms.
• Respond to inquiries from applicants, learners, and providers.
• Support recruitment, orientation, and outreach activities.
• Contribute to QA, reporting, and data analysis for compliance.
