Job summary

FreshPoint, a division of Sysco, is seeking a Receiver I to ensure accurate and timely receipt of incoming shipments in the Vancouver area. You will verify quality, quantity, and documentation, and record information in the warehouse management system.

You will also handle unloading, inspection, and storage according to procedures, while maintaining safety and organization in the receiving area. Prior experience is not required beyond 0-1 years, with a high school diploma or GED.

• Ability to perform basic math calculations.

JOB DESCRIPTION Purpose The Receiver I is responsible for the accurate and timely receipt of incoming shipments to the warehouse. This role ensures the quality and quantity of all incoming goods are verified and properly documented.

Pay Range - $ 19.35/hr. Shift Schedule - 05:30 a.m. - 02:00 p.m.

Responsibilities

• Unload incoming shipments from trucks and trailers.
• Inspect incoming shipments for damage, quantity, and quality.
• Verify order accuracy against purchase orders and other relevant documentation.
• Record all receiving information accurately in the warehouse management system (WMS).

Product Handling

• Sort and organize received products according to established procedures.
• Place received products in designated storage locations.

Safety & Compliance

• Adhere to all safety regulations and company policies.
• Maintain a clean and organized receiving area.

Skills

• Physical Strength: Ability to lift, push, and pull heavy objects.
• Basic Math Skills: Ability to perform basic mathematical calculations (e.g., addition, subtraction).

Certifications

• Education: High school diploma or GED.

Experience
