Job summary

Sysco is seeking a Warehouse Worker to join our team in a cold/freezer environment. Responsibilities include picking and staging orders, safely operating a stand-up forklift, and upholding strict health and safety standards. The role requires lifting capacity, attention to detail, and weekend availability.

We value candidates with forklift certification, OFA1, and prior food-processing warehouse experience. Training in WHMIS/HACCP is preferred; High School completion is an asset.

Qualifications

• Standup electric counterbalance forklift certificate is required.
• Occupational First Aid Certificate (OFA Level 1) is an asset.
• 1+ year warehouse experience in food processing or cold environment is an asset.
• High School diploma or post-secondary education is an asset.
• Trained in WHMIS, Health & Safety, Food Safety, HACCP.
• Must work in a fast-paced environment with safe work methods.
• Physically able to lift 50–70+ lbs., stand, walk, bend, twist, stoop, squat, repetitively.
• Able to identify and resolve problems and work under pressure.

JOB DESCRIPTION

Warehouse Worker Compensation: $23/hour

Responsibilities

• Pick and stage orders accurately and efficiently in a cold/freezer environment.
• Operate an electric stand-up counterbalance forklift safely in accordance with company and regulatory standards.
• Follow all health and safety protocols, including proper use of PPE in cold storage areas.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of warehouse areas.
• Provide assistance in maintaining workplace safety, including being a certified First Aid responder on shift.
• Ensure that any equipment being used is safe to operate at all times.
• Ability to follow directions.
• Comply with all Food Safety and HACCP regulations.
• Ability to be available to work weekends as needed.
• All other duties as assigned.
