Job summary

AbCellera is seeking a lab-based Research Scientist II to join our Vancouver team and bridge in vivo models with biological insights that shape our pipeline. You will design, execute, and analyze in vivo studies, collaborating with pharmacologists to inform go/no-go decisions on programs.

This is hands-on science that emphasizes rigour and curiosity to bring new medicines closer to patients. You should have a PhD or MSc with relevant industry experience in oncology or biologics, strong in vivo

Qualifications

Hands-on experience designing and interpreting in vivo pharmacology studies.
Strong understanding of PK/PD concepts and their translational relevance.
Clear, data-driven scientific communication across teams.
Proven ability to work cross-functionally in fast-paced environments.

Responsibilities

Define preclinical in vivo strategy to advance pipeline programs.
Collaborate to design and validate novel animal models.
Plan and interpret in vivo efficacy and pharmacology studies.
Coordinate translational studies with in vitro biology, PK/PD, and external CROs.
Supervise sample analysis for target engagement and biomarker data.
Mentor junior scientists in experimental planning and analysis.
Present findings to program teams and leadership for data-driven decisions.
