Fairmont Château Laurier in Ottawa is seeking an In-Room Dining Server (Part-Time) to deliver exceptional service in guest rooms and suites. You will assist guests with menu knowledge, deliver meals and beverages promptly, and maintain high standards of hospitality in a historic property.

The role requires prior culinary/F&B experience, strong communication in English and French, teamwork, and a Smart Serve certification.

• Previous experience in the culinary field required.
• Previous Food & Beverage service experience required.
• Previous Point of Sale System experience preferred.
• Excellent communication skills in both official languages.
• Strong interpersonal and problem solving abilities.
• Highly responsible & reliable.
• Ability to work well under pressure in a fast paced environment.
• Ability to work cohesively as part of a team.
• Ability to focus attention on guest needs, remaining calm and courteous at all times.
• Smart Serve Certification.

Job Description

Reporting to the Outlets Leadership Team, responsibilities and essential job functions include but are not limited to the following:

• Consistently offer professional, friendly and engaging service
• Assist guests regarding menu items in an informative and helpful way
• Have full knowledge of all beverage lists
• Deliver food and beverage in a timely and accurate manner
• Pick up orders efficiently from the kitchen
• Check outgoing orders for quality and accuracy of set up

• Other duties as assigned
