Job summary

ConeTec Group is seeking a practical, business-minded Legal Counsel to serve as the Group’s internal legal resource. The role focuses on reducing risk by standardizing legal practices across the business and handling commercial, governance, HR, insurance, tax, and IP matters within a Canadian context.

Responsibilities include leading contract reviews, MSAs, NDAs, grant agreements, and procurement-related terms while coordinating with operations and regional teams to ensure compliant, efficient

Qualifications

• Strong commercial contracts background, in-house or corporate practice.
• Knowledge of corporate governance and entity maintenance.
• Cross-border Canada/US or international experience.

Responsibilities

• Build framework for contract review, signing and escalation; train regional teams.
• Own contracting process for large contracts and MSAs; review high-value deals.
• Maintain regional/standard contracts and legal collateral for proposals.
• Partner with operations/procurement to balance supplier and customer terms.
• Centralize NDAs and confidentiality agreements; oversee major grant terms.
• Manage anti-corruption processes and corporate records; ensure bylaws compliance.
• Advise on HR policies, oversee insurance program, and coordinate with Finance on tax matters.
• Support trademark matters and website privacy compliance.
