Job summary

Bissell Centre is seeking an Occupational Therapist to join the Hope Terrace team, supporting adults toward home stability and goal achievement through a client-centered approach. The role includes in-house and community-based work, with focus on executive function assessment and care planning to enhance daily living, employment, and stability.

The ideal candidate will have an OT degree (masters preferred), DBT training, knowledge of Indigenous communities, and 3+ years working with high-risk

Qualifications

• Minimum university degree in Occupational Therapy. Masters Preferred.

Responsibilities

• Administer assessments on all residents, including the EFPT and Sensory Profile.
• Assist Resident Support Workers and Case Managers in establishing and meeting meaningful goals.
• Collaborate in developing methods to address emotional regulation and promote adaptive social and life skills.
• Provide personalized professional development/coaching to RSWs around brain function, emotional regulation, and related areas.
• Maintain accurate case notes, records, databases (ETO) and incident reports within time standards.
