Job summary

Dillon Consulting Limited is seeking a Senior Indigenous Rights and Consultation Lead to advance duties to consult and meaningful engagement across Canada. You will guide Indigenous Knowledge integration, manage complex projects with a multidisciplinary team, and mentor junior staff while interfacing with clients and communities.

Qualifications

• Degree in social sciences, geography, resource management, Indigenous studies, anthropology, archaeology, planning, or related field.
• Minimum of 15 years of direct relevant experience.
• Deep understanding of the Duty to Consult and Accommodate.
• Knowledge of Indigenous communities in Canada.
• Knowledge of planning frameworks and principles.
• Strong writing skills for reports and plans.
• Willingness to travel as needed.

Responsibilities

• Lead and support Aboriginal and Treaty Rights and cultural impact assessments.
• Guide resources on Duty to Consult and impacts on rights and interests.
• Provide advice on best practices and legal rulings related to Duty to Consult.
• Provide IK/ILRU expertise to project teams and clients.
• Conduct jurisdictional and legislative framework reviews.
• Support socio-economic data collection and analyses.
• Contribute to territorial planning and environmental assessment projects.
• Prepare high-quality deliverables and reports.
