Job summary

Dillon Consulting Limited is seeking a Senior Indigenous Rights and Consultation Lead for our Vancouver office. You will guide duties to consult, engage Indigenous communities, and integrate Indigenous Knowledge into planning and assessments.

The role focuses on managing complex projects, mentoring staff, and developing client relationships across Canada, with a hybrid work arrangement and travel as needed.

Qualifications

• Degree in social sciences, geography, resource management, Indigenous studies, anthropology, archaeology, planning, or related field (Master’s preferred).
• 15+ years of direct relevant experience, preferably in consulting.
• Strong understanding of the Duty to Consult and Accommodate.
• Knowledge of Indigenous communities in Canada and IK/ILRU studies.

Responsibilities

• Lead baseline programs and assessments related to Aboriginal and Treaty Rights and cultural impact assessments.
• Support resources for Duty to Consult, impacts on Aboriginal and Treaty rights and interests.
• Provide advice on best practices and legal rulings related to Duty to Consult and Accommodation.
• Mentor and manage junior staff and coordinate projects across teams.
