Job summary

Johnson Controls in Canada is seeking a Field Project Manager to lead building solutions projects on-site for local customers. You will manage construction or retrofit initiatives, interacting regularly with customer staff and management.

The role requires a university degree and 5 years of HVAC/BAS experience, with strong contract and stakeholder management skills. A competitive benefits package accompanies the position.

Qualifications

• University degree or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• 5 years of experience and knowledge in HVAC and Building Automation Systems (BAS).
• Experience in managing medium to large projects with contracts, cost, quality and schedule responsibilities.

Responsibilities

• Program and assist with troubleshooting, as-builts, equipment and plant startups when necessary.
• Perform quality control duties and responsibilities regarding the work being performed, including setup and assisting the technical team on CWD.
• Communicate with project team regarding SI's, RFI's, and Material Submittals.
• Ensure subcontractor is fully executing and complying with contracted scope of work.
• Interface with site customer personnel to ensure conformance to site standards.
• Coordinate commissioning and validation activities on-site with commissioning engineers and system technicians.
• Schedule commissioning and validation activities with the Engineering teams.
• Perform site visits with Field Technicians & System Designers to ensure processes are followed.
• Perform technical reviews of test documents, software, and graphics; maintain high quality standards.
• Identify subcontractor non-compliance with safety, health, and environmental standards.
• Identify conflicts in construction progress and coordinate resolutions.
