Job summary

The Society of Saint Vincent de Paul of Vancouver Island is seeking a full-time Early Childhood Educator to join Mary’s Place Childcare in Victoria. You will provide high-quality, caring childcare that aligns with the centre’s curriculum and goals, reporting to the Mary’s Place Program Manager.

The ideal candidate holds a Diploma in Early Childhood Education, a current BC License to Practice, at least one year of relevant experience, and First Aid CPR certification.

Qualifications

• Diploma in Early Childhood Education (required)
• Current BC License to Practice (required)
• Minimum 1 year of relevant ECE experience
• First Aid Certification – Standard CPR (required)
• Experience with children with cognitive/physical disabilities is an asset
• General office management skills are an asset

Responsibilities

• Provide quality, caring childcare programs aligned with Mary’s Place curriculum and policies
• Deliver services in a group setting according to Centre goals and plans
• Collaborate with Mary’s Place Program Manager and the team to support children and families
