Job summary

Central Okanagan Foundation is seeking a Community Impact & Communications Strategist to build and implement a comprehensive communications strategy in person at the Central Okanagan Foundation office in Kelowna. You will modernize the brand, strengthen donor engagement, and tell powerful stories about grantees, scholarships, and community initiatives.

The role combines strategic planning with hands-on execution, including digital marketing, content creation, media relations, and events to drive

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree or diploma in communications, marketing, PR, journalism, graphic design, or related field.
  • 3–5 years of communications and marketing experience.
  • Exceptional writing, editing, and storytelling abilities.
  • Experience managing websites, social media, and digital marketing campaigns.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement the COF's annual communications and marketing strategy.
  • Strengthen and modernize the COF's brand across platforms.
  • Create stories highlighting donor impact, charities, scholarships, and community initiatives.
  • Write newsletters, annual reports, website content, blogs, and donor communications.
  • Plan and execute social media and digital marketing campaigns.
