Qualifications

Responsibilities

  • Manage immigration files from initial consultation through preparation, submission, and post-submission follow-up.
  • Assess client circumstances, eligibility, and supporting documents to identify options and risks.
  • Provide immigration guidance within the scope of practice and applicable legislation.
  • Review and prepare applications for temporary and permanent residence programs (work/study/visitor, Express Entry, PNP, family sponsorship).
  • Ensure accuracy and completeness of documents, checklists, and submission packages.
  • Communicate with clients about progress, deadlines, and required information.
  • Monitor deadlines, expiries, and milestones; supervise staff where applicable.
  • Maintain secure, confidential client records and stay current with policy changes.

About the Role

D2V Immigration Inc. is seeking an experienced, detail-oriented, and client-focused Immigration Case Manager / Regulated Canadian Immigration Consultant (RCIC) to join our team.

The successful candidate will be responsible for managing immigration matters from initial assessment and case strategy through documentation, application preparation, review, submission, and post-submission follow-up. The role involves providing immigration guidance within the scope of professional authorization, ensuring applications comply with current Canadian immigration legislation, regulations, policies, and procedural requirements.

This position requires strong knowledge of Canadian immigration programs, excellent case-management and client communication skills, sound professional judgment, and the ability to manage multiple files and deadlines in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage immigration files from initial consultation and assessment through application preparation, submission, and post-submission follow-up.
  • Assess client circumstances, immigration history, eligibility, and supporting documentation to identify appropriate immigration options and potential case concerns.
  • Provide immigration advice and guidance to clients in accordance with applicable legislation, regulations, professional obligations, and the authorized scope of practice.
  • Review and prepare applications for temporary and permanent residence programs, including work permits, study permits, visitor applications, permanent residence, Express Entry, Provincial Nominee Programs, family sponsorship, and other immigration matters handled by the firm.
  • Review client documents for accuracy, completeness, consistency, authenticity concerns, and compliance with applicable immigration requirements.
  • Prepare and review immigration forms, document checklists, submission packages, supporting letters, letters of explanation, client declarations, and other case-related documentation.
  • Conduct detailed research on immigration legislation, regulations, program delivery instructions, operational policies, eligibility requirements, and procedural updates.
  • Perform final quality-control reviews of applications and supporting documents prior to submission.
  • Communicate with clients regarding eligibility, documentation requirements, application progress, deadlines, procedural updates, and next steps.
  • Follow up with clients to ensure outstanding documents and information are received within established timelines.
  • Monitor permit expiries, restoration periods, application deadlines, invitations, procedural fairness deadlines, and other important case milestones.
  • Supervise, guide, or review work completed by case-processing and administrative staff, where applicable.
  • Maintain accurate, complete, and organized electronic client records and case notes.
  • Ensure client confidentiality and securely handle sensitive personal, financial, employment, and immigration information.
  • Stay current with changes to Canadian immigration legislation, regulations, policies, programs, processing procedures, and documentation requirements.
  • Maintain professional standards and ethical obligations applicable to RCIC practice.
  • Ensure clients receive professional, transparent, timely, and respectful service throughout the immigration process.
Qualifications & Skills
  • Valid RCIC licence and good standing with the College of Immigration and Citizenship Consultants (CICC) is preferred/required, depending on the position.
  • Minimum 2-3 years of experience in Canadian immigration case management, immigration consulting, or a related professional role is preferred.
  • Strong working knowledge of Canadian immigration programs, legislation, regulations, policies, and application procedures.
  • Experience with temporary residence and permanent residence applications, including work permits, study permits, visitor applications, Express Entry, PNPs, and family sponsorship matters.
  • Ability to assess immigration files, identify potential risks or inconsistencies, and develop appropriate case strategies.
  • Strong application-review and quality-control skills with exceptional attention to detail.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English, Hindi, and Punjabi.
  • Strong client-service and interpersonal skills with the ability to explain complex immigration matters clearly and professionally.
  • Strong research, analytical, organizational, time-management, and problem-solving abilities.
  • Ability to independently manage multiple client files, priorities, and time-sensitive deadlines.
  • Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with consultants, case managers, administrative staff, and other team members.
  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced professional environment with changing immigration policies and priorities.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office, Google Workspace, PDF/document-management software, immigration portals, and case-management systems.
Preferred Experience
  • Experience handling a combination of the following would be considered an asset: Express Entry/CEC, Provincial Nominee Programs (including OINP), LMIA and employer-related applications, work permits, study permits, PGWP, spousal open work permits, visitor visas and visitor records, restoration applications, family/spousal sponsorship, and other temporary or permanent residence matters.
