Type: 6-Month Contract
Start Date: July 2025
About The Role
Our client's Reconciliation Team is seeking an experienced iMatch Developer / Reconciliation Analyst to support ongoing automation and optimization projects focused on enhancing reconciliation processes across mutual funds and cash accounts. This role is a unique hybrid of business analysis and hands-on system development within the FIS iMatch platform (Data Integrity Manager), supporting mission-critical financial controls.
Key Responsibilities
Reconciliation & System Development
- Configure and enhance automated reconciliations in iMatch (NextGen versions 21.3 to 24.2), a critical FIS platform used across global banks.
- Analyze and troubleshoot breaks in reconciliation logic and improve existing SOPs.
- Optimize how data is processed and matched, reducing manual interventions and time-to-market.
- Perform end-to-end configuration, testing, and promotion of reconciliations into production environments.
- Work with backend systems, APIs, and SQL queries to understand and improve data flow and normalization.
Business Analysis & Stakeholder Engagement
- Collaborate closely with reconciliation performers (business users) to identify gaps in automated matching.
- Conduct data analysis and mapping to ensure integrity before configuring reconciliation logic.
- Act as a key liaison between business units and the technical team to define requirements and validate outputs.
- Support the reconciliation optimization project and contribute to a broader automation initiative involving 5–6 team members.
Project Support
- Engage in two main initiatives:
- Reconciliation Automation – Streamline and enhance matching logic to gain operational efficiencies.
- FIS iMatch Upgrade – Work with the vendor to upgrade from version 21.3 to 24.2 without disruptions to existing reconciliations.
- Provide hands-on support in a fast-paced, production-touching environment — "thrown right into the fire."
- Handle configuration dependencies and ensure smooth coordination across internal application teams and vendors.
Qualifications
- 5+ years of experience working with FIS iMatch / Data Integrity Manager (NextGen versions 21.3+ required; 24.2 upgrade experience preferred).
- Proven ability to build, analyze, and troubleshoot reconciliations in financial institutions.
- Strong data analysis skills, including experience with SQL, APIs, and backend file structures.
- Understanding of data normalization, data ingestion through APIs, and file-based processing in reconciliation environments.
- Prior experience working in reconciliation optimization, automation, or system upgrade projects.
- Excellent collaboration, communication, and stakeholder engagement skills.
Nice-to-Have
- Experience in mutual fund and cash account reconciliations in a large banking environment.
- Ability to work independently with minimal ramp-up or training time.
