Job summary

The Mason Group Inc is recruiting a Senior Accounting Advisor in Ontario to provide expert financial reporting guidance and assurance direction. You will liaise with senior leaders and external stakeholders, applying IFRS and CAS expertise across complex issues.

Candidates should have CPA credentials, 8+ years of relevant experience, and a proven ability to influence decisions and communicate clearly in high-stakes environments.

Qualifications

• Must have CPA designation with deep IFRS and CAS knowledge.
• Strong ability to research, analyze, and summarize complex accounting issues.
• Ability to translate technical requirements into practical solutions.

Responsibilities

• Analyze and resolve complex financial reporting and assurance issues under the Ontario Securities Act.
• Provide advisory services to staff and external stakeholders (issuers, auditors, advisors).
• Analyze and comment on proposed IFRS/CAS standards issued for comment by standard setters.
• Participate in special projects related to financial reporting and assurance, including external interactions.
• Monitor evolving trends in financial reporting and assurance and share findings with leadership.
