Qualifications

• CPA designation with 8+ years of relevant post-designation experience.
• Deep IFRS and CAS knowledge with ability to apply professional judgment.
• Experience in financial reporting for issuers or public accounting assurance.
• Ability to research, analyze, and synthesize complex financial reporting problems.
• Strong understanding of accounting and auditing standards; translate requirements into practical solutions.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills.

Responsibilities

• Analyze complex financial reporting and assurance issues under the Ontario Securities Act.
• Provide advisory services to internal staff, issuers, auditors, and advisors.
• Comment on proposed IFRS/CAS standards issued for comment by standard setters.
• Participate in special projects on financial reporting and assurance with external interaction.
• Monitor trends in financial reporting and assurance; share insights with divisions.
• Communicate staff views on important issues through publications and speaking engagements.
