Wealthsimple Inc. in Canada is seeking a Manager, Internal Controls to lead and scale the ICFR program. You will own the control framework, drive testing, and partner with Finance, Operations and Engineering to ensure controls are designed, implemented and operating effectively.

You will coordinate walkthroughs with external auditors, remediate deficiencies, and evolve controls as Wealthsimple launches new products, leveraging AI-enabled tooling to enhance documentation and efficiency.

Qualifications

• Experience in SOX/CSOX internal controls in a public company.
• Hands-on ICFR experience; COSO 2013 knowledge.
• CPA designation or equivalent required.
• Experience using technology to document/test/automate controls (AI tools).
• Experience with external auditors and control documentation.

Responsabilités

• Own the control framework and documentation, direct testing, and work with control owners across Finance, Operations and Engineering.
• Build and shape internal controls around existing processes and new product launches.
• Plan and direct walkthroughs and testing to meet annual ICFR plan; remediate deficiencies with owners.
• Serve as primary contact for external auditors; coordinate evidence requests and testing for financial reporting and SOC 1 audits.
• Collaborate with technology to develop best-in-class controls documentation and AI-enabled tooling.
