Job Overview

This role provides on-site technical support primarily at our Bolton Campus, supporting hardware, software, networks, and peripherals for campus-based and remote employees. As part of the IT Service Desk team, you will need problem-solving, communication, interpersonal, and time management skills, along with patience and a customer-focused attitude.

Responsibilities
  • Answer incoming calls courteously and professionally.
  • Monitor and process tickets in the Service Desk queue based on priority.
  • Serve as the first contact for technical support via phone or email.
  • Provide helpdesk support and resolve end-user issues.
  • Manage PC setup and deployment, including data transfer and software reinstallation.
  • Perform hardware and software upgrades timely.
  • Install, test, and configure new workstations and peripherals.
  • Ensure all workstations are fully equipped.
  • Assign users and computers in Active Directory.
  • Collaborate with other IT teams, experts, and vendors to resolve issues.
Required Qualifications
  • Currently pursuing a Diploma in Information Technology or a related field.
  • Knowledge of Windows OS, networking, and troubleshooting.
  • Understanding of computer networking and Active Directory.
  • Strong communication and organizational skills.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and customer service orientation.
  • Critical thinking and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to perform physical tasks, including lifting up to 30 lbs.
  • Proficiency with hardware components and devices.
