The Human-Machine Interaction Lab unites global talents to redefine the relationship between humans and technology. Our team includes researchers, engineers, and designers collaborating across disciplines to develop novel interactive systems, sensing technologies, wearable and IoT systems, human factors, computer vision, and multimodal interfaces. Through high-impact products and cutting-edge research, we aim to enhance user experiences and interactions with technology.
About the job:
Design and build advanced applications / libraries / services for the Android and/or Windows platform
Collaborate with product, research and design teams to define, design, and ship new features
Work with open source machine learning libraries for Android/Windows/Web platform
Write clean readable code and test code for robustness, including edge cases, usability, performance, and general reliability
Continuously discover, evaluate, and implement new technologies to maximize development efficiency
About the ideal candidate:
Currently enrolled in a university and registered with the school’s co-op program (a minimum program length of 8 consecutive months is required)
Solid understanding of Data Structure and Algorithm
Strong coding skills in any of the high level languages (e.g. Java/C#/C++/Python, etc.)
Working knowledge of the general mobile landscape, architectures, trends, and emerging technologies
Solid understanding of the full mobile development life cycle
Relevant experience and strong interest in any of the following areas: Computer Vision, Human-computer Interaction, Human Factors, Machine Learning, Sensor, and Gesture
