Placements24 is seeking a detail-oriented Environmental Hygiene Technician to ensure high standards of cleanliness within Kimberley premises. You will perform cleaning and sanitation tasks to maintain a safe, healthy environment for staff and visitors.

The role requires knowledge of cleaning chemicals and equipment, adherence to health and safety guidelines, and the ability to work independently with minimal supervision.

Qualifications

• Experience in professional cleaning, janitorial, or sanitation.
• Knowledge of cleaning chemicals, materials and equipment and safe application.
• Understanding of workplace health and safety standards.
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision and manage time.
• Physical capacity for demanding cleaning tasks (standing, bending, lifting).
• Strong commitment to exceptional hygiene standards.

Responsibilities

• Perform thorough cleaning and disinfection of offices, restrooms, break rooms, and common spaces.
• Safely operate and maintain cleaning equipment and tools in good working order.
• Manage inventory of cleaning supplies and chemicals with proper storage and usage.
• Adhere to health, safety, and sanitation guidelines and company policies.
• Properly handle and dispose of waste and recyclables per procedures.
• Respond to emergency cleaning needs and maintain high cleanliness levels.
