Job summary

GrizzlyTrek Group is seeking a Hydrovac Operator for long term, full-time work in Rocky Mountain House, Alberta. You will operate a hydrovac unit to daylight, pothole and trench around live pipelines and utilities, while maintaining safety and equipment readiness.

Responsibilities include setting up the wand and vacuum system, reading site prints, completing inspections, and handling spoil disposal. Must have hydrovac or vac truck experience and the required safety tickets; O/S environment and

Qualifications

• Hydrovac operating experience or vac truck/combo unit experience.
• Valid safety tickets: H2S Alive, Standard First Aid with CPR, CSTS-2020 or PST, Ground Disturbance Level 2.

Responsibilities

• Operate a hydrovac unit for daylighting, potholing and trenching around live pipelines and utilities.
• Set up and run wand, boom and vacuum system safely around open excavations.
• Hand expose buried facilities and locate documents/site prints.
• Complete pre-trip and post-trip inspections and keep unit clean and serviced.
• Haul spoils to disposal facilities and complete paperwork.
• Complete FLHAs, hazard assessments and permits before the job and field tickets after.
• Work safely around client crews and follow site procedures.

Skills

Hydrovac operating experience

Education

Class 3 licence with air brake (Q) endorsement, Class 1 preferred

H2S Alive, Standard First Aid with CPR, CSTS-2020 or PST, Ground Disturbance Level 2
